10 Early Signs of Pregnancy Before a Missed Period

This may or may not be experienced by some people

1. Implantation Bleeding

Light spotting or pink/brown discharge may happen 6–12 days after ovulation when the fertilized egg attaches to the uterus.

2. Mild Cramping

Some women feel light cramps similar to period cramps due to early hormonal changes.

3. Tender or Swollen Breasts

Breasts may feel sore, heavy, or more sensitive because hormones start preparing the body for breastfeeding.

4. Unusual Fatigue

Feeling extremely tired even without much activity is a common early sign caused by rising progesterone levels.

5. Nausea or Food Aversions

Some women start experiencing morning sickness or sudden dislike for certain foods even before the missed period.

6. Frequent Urination

Hormonal changes increase blood flow to the kidneys, making you feel the need to urinate more often.

7. Mood Swings

Hormonal fluctuations can cause sudden emotional changes, irritability, or sensitivity.

8. Increased Vaginal Discharge

A milky white discharge called leukorrhea may increase due to higher estrogen levels.

9. Bloating

Early pregnancy hormones can slow digestion, causing bloating similar to PMS.

10. Heightened Sense of Smell

You may suddenly become more sensitive to smells, which can trigger nausea.
